Ioanna Kosmidou, MD PhD is a cardiologist and an Assistant Professor ofMedicine at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center in the Faculty ofMedicine at Columbia University. She is board certified in cardiovascularmedicine and cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Kosmidou graduated from theUniversity of Patras School of Medicine and completed a PhD in molecularmedicine at the University of Athens School of Medicine in Greece. Shecompleted her cardiology fellowship at Emory University Hospital and clinicalcardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, HarvardMedical School. Her clinical and research interests focus on women’s heartdisease, cardiac arrhythmias in the setting of structural heart and coronaryartery disease and clinical outcomes in cardiovascular atherosclerosis.
