Betsy Herold, MD, is Chief of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Vice Chair for Research at Children's Hospital at Montefiore. Dr Herold is also a Professor of Pediatrics, Microbiology & Immunology, and Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She specializes in pediatric infectious diseases. Dr Herold received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1978 from Brown University and went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School in 1982. Dr Herold completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Children's Memorial Hospital, where she became a Chief Resident in 1985.
