About

David Reed

David Reed, D.O., completed his medical training at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he also completed a fellowship in pulmonary diseases, critical care and sleep medicine. Dr. Reed is board certified in internal medicine, critical care, pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine.

He says he chose to work in health care because of a favorite childhood TV show. “I was a big fan of the TV show, M*A*S*H, when I was a child,” he says. “I think it originally inspired me to pursue a health-related occupation.”

Dr. Reed wanted to be a part of Pulmonary Consultants because of the good experience he had when interviewing. “I was really impressed with the directions of the leadership to take care of patients the right way,” he says. “I also jumped at the opportunity to work with a great group of partners.”

In his spare time, Dr. Reed enjoys reading, traveling and running.
