I have been living and working in a rural area for many years. I appreciate the unique aspects of our population. I know that many patients have to travel far and in all kinds of weather to get their health care and also leave busy jobs and home and farm life.
My goal is to focus on diagnosing and treating heart disease using cardiac testing and medications when they are needed. I work to help prevent heart attack, stroke and peripheral artery disease. When I meet with patients, we review their lifestyle habits such as physical activity and diet to reduce risk factors that might lead to cardiovascular disease.
When we meet, I aim to explain everything and provide written and online resources. I want to help my patients be more informed and understand their cardiac conditions and ways to reduce their risk of heart disease.
