Dr. Shannon Scholl joined the Cary Gastroenterology team in 2009. While she sees both male and female patients at our Cary location, her concern for women's GI health issues is one of the reasons she also sees female patients at our Women’s Center for GI Health in Raleigh. Dr. Scholl is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. She's a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. She received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, NC. During her medical training, she additionally earned a Master’s of Public Health at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Public Health, Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Scholl completed her fellowship in gastroenterology/hepatology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, NC. She has a special interest in liver disease, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and ulcerative colitis.
