About
Bruce Noxon
Dr. Bruce Noxon is a podiatric foot and ankle surgeon, who is also board-certified in wound care. His areas of specialty are sports medicine and surgery, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, arthritis, trauma, deformity correction, and arthroscopic surgery. After completing his residency training in 1999, Dr. Noxon acquired The Foot & Ankle Treatment Center in Glenview, Illinois. He joined Illinois Bone & Joint Institute in 2021.
Dr. Noxon has lectured on many topics, including scarf bunionectomy, hammertoe correction, posterior tibial dysfunction, skin graft substitutes for wound closure, lower extremity biomechanics, and the diabetic foot.
He is married and has two sons. Outside of his practice, Dr. Noxon enjoys time with his family, as well as training for triathlons and marathons. He is an accomplished triathlete and marathoner. Dr. Noxon has competed on the Team USA Triathlon Team for various distances in 2012 (Vitoria, Spain), 2014 (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), 2015 (Motala, Sweden), 2015 (Chicago, Illinois), and in 2018 (Gold Coast, Australia).
Dr. Noxon ran the Boston Marathon from 2014 to 2020, and was accepted for the 2021 Boston Marathon. Throughout years of practice, he has captured a great appreciation and understanding of lower extremity biomechanics and how it pertains to sport-related injuries.
