Luis Hernandez, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist at the Monument Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He received his medical degree from the National Autonomous University of Honduras. He completed his residency with the Presence Saint Joseph Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program, and his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, Florida, where he was the chief fellow. Dr Hernandez specializes in general cardiology with an interest in heart failure, heart transplantation and heart pumps. He practices with the philosophy of human contact and fairness, doing whatever is necessary to get his patients the best possible treatment options.
