Phyllis Hendry, MD, is a tenured professor of emergency medicine and pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville. She completed her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, followed by a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the University of Florida Health Science Center Jacksonville. She served as director of pediatric emergency services at UF Health Jacksonville from 1993 to 2005, and since 2008 has been assistant chair for emergency medicine research. In March 2016, she was appointed the TraumaOne deputy medical director of pediatric transport and care.
