Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I chose to pursue a career in medicine as a Physician Assistant because I wanted to make a difference in my community in a tangible way. I knew from a young age that I wanted to help people after I witnessed the lack of accessible healthcare on a mission trip. Since then, I've realized that there are challenges in access to healthcare in America as well and I wanted to help bridge that gap. Medicine has allowed me to pursue my passion of caring for others while being a solution to the problem of inadequate access to healthcare in communities across the nation.
