Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I have seen a range of human experiences when I was investigating child abuse and neglect reports; but I also came to understand that people are capable of resolving their own problems when given support and a friendly ear. It is an honor to be trusted to be that ear and be with people as they untangle the complexities of their lives. What I want my patients to know about me: My time with patients gives me a sense of meaning. I seek to understand how my patients interact with other people in their lives, and what we can do in session to help them function at their best in that environment. I see strength and I believe that everyone can use that strength to improve their sense of wellbeing.
