Chandra Vethody, M.D., joined Norton Children’s in August 2020 as a pediatric allergist and immunologist. In addition to her clinical role, she is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Her primary clinical interest and expertise is in drug allergies, which she can assess and evaluate a wide-ranging spectrum that include antibiotic allergies, chemotherapy, steroids, and biologics. She also has an interest in allergic skin diseases, immunology (assessing and treating primary immunodeficiencies), and food allergies. Dr. Vethody graduated in 2013 from Kasturba Medical College of Manipal, located in India, with her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She completed her residency in internal medicine at UofL in 2018 and then served as an allergy and immunology fellow at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center for three years. Dr. Vethody is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology in allergy and immunology.
