Johanna Kate Halfon, MD, MSc received her undergraduate degree from Yale University in 2004. She attended Yale Medical School and then completed her residency in OBGYN at New-York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. She then completed a Global Health Fellowship at Duke University, earning a Master’s of Science in Global Health in 2016 at the Duke Global Health Institute of Duke University. In 2015, she spent a year conducting clinical research in Kigali, Rwanda in the field of maternal mortality reduction through an NIH grant. During her career, she has also engaged in extensive clinical medical education and collaboration with academic institutions in Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Ghana. Dr. Halfon is interested in taking care of patients from adolescence through menopause. Her practice includes routine gynecological care, contraceptive management, treatment of abnormal pap smears, gynecological surgery, as well as obstetrical care.
