William Greene, MD

My name is Dr Greene, and I graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor's degree in biology. I attended medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa and completed my residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in addiction medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville. In 2007, I joined the UF faculty as an assistant professor in the department of psychiatry's division of addiction medicine. Since then, I have continuously served as the attending physician for our 18-bed drug and alcohol detoxification unit at the UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital. In 2017, I was promoted to associate professor, and in 2021, I became program director for the addiction medicine fellowship.
