Dr. Richardson is a physician-scientist and highly experienced cardiac electrophysiologist. After graduating from Vanderbilt Medical School with high honors, she completed her Internal Medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. She then moved to Stanford University where she completed her Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowships as well as a fellowship in Biodesign–a dual program in medicine and engineering led by some of the pioneers in the cardiovascular medical device field. Dr. Richardson earned a Bachelor of Science degree, awarded with Highest Distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A native of Chattanooga, Dr. Richardson comes to Chattanooga Heart from a hospital in the San Francisco Bay area where she served as a cardiac electrophysiologist and clinical instructor.
