Kelly Benoit, OT is an occupational therapist at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She treats and manages a variety of conditions, including brain injury; concussion; multiple sclerosis (MS); neurologic movement disorders, diseases and injuries; spinal cord injury; and stroke. Among the specialized procedures she provides are wheelchair seating and mobility, assistive technology and neuro. Her research interests include COVID-19, integrative medicine and wheelchair positioning.
For Kelly, the most rewarding part of her job is helping people to find independence in tasks and activities they thought they might never be able to do again. She enjoys helping people at all stages of the recovery process, and values working with patients to maximize their independence in all areas that are important to them. She believes in the importance of a comprehensive team approach to paint the whole picture and provide each patient with the highest quality of care possible.
