Dr Hauft received her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree (M.D.) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She completed pediatric residency and newborn medicine fellowship training at St Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. After training, she remained at Washington University where she joined the faculty in the Department of Pediatrics. Her clinical activities included attending physician in academic and community NICUs, oversight of the Neonatal-Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team and medical direction for Women & Infants Outreach services. Dr Hauft is board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, with maintenance of certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Clinical interests include medical education and advancing patient care initiatives between community and academic medical centers.
