Dr. Lin attended Emory University for undergraduate and was offered a Woodruff Scholarship to stay and finish his medical school education at Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgical residency at Emory University where he won award for resident teacher of the year from the 4th year medical students. He was invited to stay and complete a transplant fellowship at Emory University, becoming the 1st fellow to complete the transplant fellowship. He was recruited to Medical University of South Carolina upon completion of his fellowship in 2000.

Dr. Angello Lin is an abdominal transplant surgeon in Charleston, South Carolina with a special interest in kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, and vascular access surgery. His treatment philosophy comes from his experience as an immigrant to this country barely speaking English. He remembered feeling lost and confused at first since he could not understand what others were saying.
