Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Ben served as a paramedic in North Carolina for 2 years, and as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant in the US Army for 5 years.His current interests include burn management and burn critical care, improving healing outcomes for burn survivors, military and prehospital medical applications, austere medicine, and medical history.
