Medical Gaslighting at its finest. I would advise you to come with a diagnoses in hand in order to receive proper care. I fear malpractice is in his future as this seems to be the norm in respective reviews. Dr. Millar was highly interested in me and my symptoms, attentive, and kind until he reviewed my MRI report. Prior to he informed me we would complete a physical exam and come up with a treatment plan. After, he became an entirely different Dr. He told me he was certain it was one of two things: MS, which the brain MRI proved it was not or it was all in my head and caused by stress. I took days preparing for this appointment, writing out my medical history since 2008 only to have him dismiss my symptoms entirely after reading one MRI report someone else wrote. He had zero interest in helping me or my Primary Care Physician determine what could be the cause of my symptoms. He then went on to compare me to his sister and said he and his father worked together when he was young to "convince" her things were in her head too. I told him I found that both disturbing and sad, especially his choice of words, "convinced" when it was his sister he spoke of and just in general. He stated he was previously a psychologist, said he was fascinated by me, and refused to do any further exams or have me as a patient. He seemed pretty upset I "challenged" him by speaking against his blatant reverse psychology and inappropriate and unprofessional personal life issues he had trouble separating from me. He completely ignored me and my husband while continuing to type on his laptop, exclaimed "that's it" and walked out of the room without another word or a goodbye. He walked across the hall and tossed his laptop onto his desk in a seemingly child like tantrum. Perhaps this neurologist should get out of the field he is in and seek help in the one he previously practiced...psychology.
