He went on to complete his residency in Anesthesiology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport LA, and a fellowship in Pain Medicine at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL. While at Rush Medical Center, Dr Kumar was appointed to the medical staff there, and became an instructor in the Department of Anesthesiology.
