In addition to serving as an assistant professor at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM, Dr. Caroline Hesko is a physician in the section of Pediatric Hematology Oncology at The University of Vermont Medical Center Children's Hospital.
Dr. Hesko specializes in treating pediatric patients with cancer and blood disorders. She believes that being a pediatrician is a privilege; being trusted with the care and well-being of another's child is an honor. With each patient encounter, her goal is to hear their story - not just their symptoms - and to create a treatment plan with them and their families. When not with her patients, she is engaged in quality improvement as well as research in supportive care, which she hopes will compliment her philosophy of care.
