Ahmad Saleh Alqassieh, M.D. is a distinguished medical professional with a rich general and transplant surgery background. Dr. Alqassieh earned his Medical Doctorate from Hashemite University, setting the foundation for his medical career.
His commitment to excellence led him to pursue extensive postgraduate training, including a Fellowship in Abdominal Organ Transplant Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. Prior to that, he completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in General Surgery at King Hussein Cancer Center and a Residency in General Surgery at Jordan University Hospital. Dr. Alqassieh's medical journey began with an Internship at Prince Faysal, further refining his skills and knowledge.
Dr. Alqassieh holds several certifications, including completing the ATLS Course from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Basic Life Support Certificate from the American Heart Association. He is also certified by the Educational Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), a testament to his dedication to professional development and proficiency.
Currently, Dr. Alqassieh serves as a General Surgeon at MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center and holds the esteemed position of Transplant Surgeon at MUSC Health, where he specializes in abdominal organ transplantation, utilizing advanced techniques such as the Da Vinci Robot for surgery. Additionally, he holds the title of Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine, Surgery, and Transplant Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he imparts his expertise to future generations of medical professionals. He also served as an Instructor in the Introductory Course of Clinical Science for fourth-year medical students at the University of Jordan.
