A native mid-westerner. Dr Atzenhoefer started his schooling in Duluth, Minnesota. His commitment to academic excellence garnered shined as he completed his undergraduate training Summa Cum Laude and earned his medical doctorate Magna Cum Laude. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin and subsequent Cardiology Fellowship at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center where he served as Chief Fellow. He was recognized by the American College of Physicians as a Young Achiever and earned Outstanding Medical Student Teacher Award during residency.
