I am a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained oculoplastic surgeon, subspecializing in Eyelid and Facial Cosmetic Surgery with a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. I am an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and the Director and Chief of the Oculoplastics Division at the University of Florida in Gainesville. I earned my medical degree from the University of Rome and completed an ophthalmology residency at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where I served as chief resident as well. I subsequently completed a fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery at the world renown Kresge Eye Institute of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
