Rafael González Alonso, MD, is an Attending Psychiatrist at Montefiore, as well as an Assistant Professor at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr González’ clinical interests include CL Psychiatry, Psychopharmacology, and Academic Psychiatry. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 2006, Dr González Alonso continued his education at Universidad Central del Caribe where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2010. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine, he proceeded with a Psychiatry residency at the Ponce School of Medicine-Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Puerto Rico in 2014, serving as its chief resident in his final year.
