Dr. A. Jesse Schuette is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital who is fellowship trained in open cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery. He and was awarded Subspecialty Certification in NeuroEndovascular Surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He specializes in the treatment of aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and ischemic stroke. Dr. Schuette serves as a system stroke quality director for Piedmont hospitals, working to build a world class team for comprehensive stroke care. A graduate of Duke University, Dr. Schuette completed his medical school, residency and fellowship at Emory University. Serving as an active duty neurosurgeon in the United States Navy, he had the honor of forward deploying to Afghanistan as part of operation Resolute Support. Dr. Schuette also served in Hawaii, Okinawa, and Maryland. As the assistant program director at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, he educated future military neurosurgeons. Dr. Schuette, his wife, and three children have come home to the Atlanta area from Washington, DC. His family is eager to become involved in the community, distance running, competitive swimming, and college sports. Dr. Schuette is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
