Growing up in a rural farming community in Central Washington with a family of physicians, Dr. Swofford was introduced to the patient-physician relationship at a young age which ultimately inspired his passion for medicine and led him to pursue a career in Oncology, with a special interest in malignant and benign Hematology.

Dr. Swofford attended Washington State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology degree. He went on to attend medical school at A.T. Still University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
