Dr. Gajjar is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Weill Cornell Medicine, and an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Children's Hospital. Board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology, Dr. Gajjar cares for children with a range of kidney disease, including hypertension, glomerulonephritis, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease, dialysis and for children needing pre- and post-transplant care. She attended medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee. Her General Pediatrics Residency was completed at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore, Maryland and she completed her Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship Training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Gajjar also earned a Master's of Science in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE) at the University of Pennsylvania during her Fellowship Training. Dr. Gajjar has a particular interest in chronic kidney disease and pre-emptive kidney transplantation, which is the area of her research focus.
