Dr G Douglas Letson is executive vice president of clinical affairs and physician-in-chief at Moffitt Cancer Center, as well as prior chair of the Sarcoma Department. In addition, he is a professor of surgery, radiology and orthopaedics at the University of South Florida. As an orthopaedic oncology surgeon, Dr Letson's research and clinical interests include: novel therapeutic agents to treat sarcoma; limb salvage for bone and soft tissue tumors; as well as segmental prosthesis, new hinge designs and soft tissue attachment for metallic prosthesis. Dr Letson has a keen interest in new techniques and design of instrumentation for minimal invasive reconstructive surgery.
