Maurice Henein, MD, earned his medical degree at University of Virginia and completed his residency and a faculty development fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. He worked for five years at Raphael Health Center in Indianapolis, at the St. Vincent Family Medicine Residency as well as the Community East Family Medicine Residency, where he has served as program director.
He specializes in family medicine, refugee and immigrant healthcare, travel medicine, and providing care for underserved populations at Community Health Network's Center for International Health. He has earned a CTropMed® certificate from the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene and a Certificate in Travel Health™ from the International Society of Travel Medicine.
He has served as elder at Redeemer Presbyterian Church and on the board of the Harrison Center nonprofit arts organization. A father of three, he enjoys golfing, basketball and playing the guitar.
