Dayyani earned his medical degree at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in Germany, where he also received a PhD in immunology. Next, he completed a research fellowship in cancer biology at Harvard University in Boston, Mass, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. He also completed a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
His research focus is on gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies. His goal is to bring leading-edge treatments to patients with gastrointestinal cancers through innovative clinical trials and translational research. He is the author or co-author of more than 40 research papers published in leading medical journals.
