Dr. Jennifer Salant is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and Assistant Attending Pediatrician at the NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Children's Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She is Director of the Pediatric Advanced Care Team and a pediatric intensivist. Dr. Salant is board certified in General Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.After graduatingĀ cum laude and with research honors from Columbia University with a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior, Dr. Salant received her medical degree (M.D.) from Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her Pediatrics residency training at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Salant then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.Dr. Salant deeply enjoys teaching students and medical trainees, and is a faculty member in the Margaret and Ian Smith Clinical Skills Center at Weill Cornell Medicine. She is also a faculty member with VitalTalk, and teaches serious illness communication skills to clinicians and students.
