Robert Siegel, MD is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology. He is a professor with The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Dr Siegel received his BA from Stanford University in 1973 and his MD degree from George Washington University in 1977. His internship, residency, and fellowship all occurred at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr Siegel returned to GW as a faculty member in 1982, was promoted to associate professor in 1989 and full professor in 2000. Upon returning to GW, he spearheaded the effort to create an oncology unit, which was dedicated in the spring of 1984 and established the Cancer Conference and Tumor Boards in the same year.
