I began my journey to midwifery while serving in the Air Force as a labor and delivery nurse. I was captivated by the way the midwives cared for their patients, and I loved learning from them. After separating from the Air Force, my husband and I moved to Raleigh, NC and added our loveable black lab to our family followed by two amazing daughters. I am passionate about physiologic birth; shared-decision making; and supporting families through pregnancy, labor, birth, and throughout the lifespan. My desire is that each woman feels supported and empowered through her pregnancy and birth. I am thrilled to be working with a collaborative team of incredible physicians and midwives. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family in the great outdoors, traveling to new places, and experiencing other cultures around the world. On a more consistent basis, I can be found being silly with our girls, getting in some exercise with strength training, drinking good coffee, and enjoying the next delicious meal my husband creates in the kitchen.
