It was a bout of appendicitis and a hospital stay that convinced Dr Oliver that he wanted to be a doctor. Impressed by the great care he received, he knew he wanted to help others as he had been helped. He chose family medicine because it allows him to develop long-term relationships with his patients and their families. He also enjoys the diversity of patients he gets to see and treat.
