Marie F.
Dr. Simard received her medical degree from Laval University in Ste-Foy, Quebec, Canada. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Canada and a fellowship in Endocrinology at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. She received additional training as an OB-GYN resident at UCLA. She returned to Montreal in 1989 as a fellow in Pediatric Endocrinology and a Research Fellow in Endocrinology.Dr. Simard is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and in the subspecialty of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.Dr. Simard’s research and clinical interests include diseases of the pituitary, neuroendocrinology and parent-child interactions in managing type 1 diabetes. Dr. Simard is an educator who teaches residents and medical students in pediatric medicine as well as providing continuing medical education lectures for pediatricians and family medicine providers.
