Dr. Cipriano earned both his Bachelor’s Degree and Medical Degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, where he was the president of his medical school class. He went on to train in Pediatrics and completed residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). After residency, Dr. Cipriano worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) for three years before moving to Salt Lake City. At CPMC, Dr. Cipriano was an assistant clinical professor at both UCSF and Dartmouth Medical School, and he received multiple awards for excellence in medical teaching. Dr. Cipriano was also involved in pediatric patient transport, and for two years he was the chair person for a national conference for pediatric hospitalists in San Francisco. Since moving to Salt Lake City in May of 2012, Dr. Cipriano is a pediatric hospitalist at Primary Children's Hospital and assistant professor at the University of Utah. His primary interest is in resident education. Dr. Cipriano serves as a course master for the pediatric residency inpatient wards rotation, and also is the faculty director of the Intern Lecture Series course. Dr. Cipriano is involved with numerous committees at Primary Children's Hospital, including the Intern Selection Committee, the pediatric residents Clinical Competency Committee, the code committee, and the rapid response committee.
