David Stein, MD, MHCM, is regional chief of surgery for MedStar Health, overseeing quality, safety, and market leadership initiatives at each of the four MedStar Health hospitals located in the Baltimore region. In tandem, Dr Stein serves as chairman of surgery at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. In this role, he is focused on the development and implementation of an innovative, outcomes-optimized surgical services program, to benefit patients undergoing general, minimally invasive, and robotic procedures in the hospital's state-of-the-art 82,000 square-foot Surgical Pavilion. Dr Stein is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colorectal Surgery.
