Dr. John Fitzgerald is an adult epileptologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He is originally from Suffolk County, Long Island. He attended medical school at the Charles E. Schmidt School of Medicine located on the campus of Florida Atlantic University from 2012-2016. He completed a preliminary year in internal medicine followed by a neurology residency at the University of Florida Jacksonville Campus from 2016-2020 and was co-chief resident from 2019-2020. From 2020-2022 he completed a fellowship in epilepsy at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. Currently, his clinical interests include the treatment of drug resistant epilepsy.
