I grew up in Alabama and have always enjoyed living in the South. Medicine was always appealing to me, and after graduating from Birmingham-Southern College, I attended the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. I continued my medical training in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago and then Allergy Immunology training at National Jewish Center in Denver. After receiving my training, I practiced Allergy/Immunology in Colorado for 4 years before moving to the Gulf Coast (where I have practiced for the last 14 years). My focus in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology came while I was in my residency.
