Larry Reimer is a Professor of Medicine and Pathology at the University of Utah, and is the Chief of Clinical Microbiology at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona in 1978, and a fellowship in infectious diseases and microbiology at the University of Colorado in 1981. He has been at the University of Utah since 1984. He saw the first HIV positive patients at both the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and the University of Utah and establised the clinics at both facilities. He is the sole provider of HIV care at the VA Medical Center and is 1 of the physicians providing HIV care at the University of Utah.
