Stephanie Spanos, MD, graduated from the University of Virginia, and received her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed residency in Pediatrics at Kosair Children`s Hospital, University of Louisville, Kentucky and fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Cincinnati Children`s Hospital Medical Center, University of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Stephanie is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and joined the faculty at the University of Utah School of Medicine and Primary Children`s Hospital in July of 2010. She is a simulation educator and content planner with the Primary Children`s Hospital Simulation Center and Intermountain Healthcare Simulation Center. Previously, she was an attending physician at Denver Children`s and Cincinnati Children`s Hospitals. Stephanie`s clinical and research interests include pain management, sedation, emergency preparedness, and patient safety. Her core interest focuses on simulation including crisis resource management with team and procedural training. She is the curriculum developer, administrator, and lead educator for the "Pediatric Office Emergencies: Is Your Office Prepared?" in-office team emergency response training curriculum. She is also the curriculum developer, administrator, and lead educator for the "Pediatric Emergency Medicine Critical Procedures Lab" and additionally offers procedure workshops through the office training curriculum.
