Amanda Kallunki, Psy.D., is a board-certified clinical psychologist with Providence Medical Group-Gateway Internal Medicine. She has special training in lifespan development, trauma-informed care and substance-use treatment. In her practice, she addresses suffering as normal and works with people to lessen their struggles. “My treatment often focuses on emotional acceptance, mindfulness practice, and values-directed activities to help people achieve change,” she says. Dr. Kallunki approaches each patient with empathy and curiosity. A graduate of Portland State University, she completed her doctorate in psychology at Pacific University, followed by an internship, residency and fellowship with Cherokee Health Systems in Knoxville, Tenn.
