Chang is committed to ensuring that all patients have access to high-quality treatment for pelvic organ prolapse, urinary issues and congenital or acquired conditions that require vaginal reconstruction. It can feel isolating to have pelvic floor disorders, so she takes the time to welcome each patient with kindness and patience. She works closely with every patient to identify their problems and offer evidence-based solutions based on their wishes.
She has extensive surgical and non-surgical training in the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, offering mesh vs. non-mesh treatment options. She also provides uterine-preservation prolapse surgeries as well as hysterectomies at the time of prolapse procedures. She performs complex vaginal reconstruction for congenital anomalies (vaginal agenesis, vaginal septum), radiation complications, as well as complex vesicovaginal fistula (bladder fistula) or rectovaginal fistula.
Chang also provides gender-affirming surgeries for transgender patients, including gender-affirming hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, vaginectomy, revision vaginoplasties and complex vaginal reconstruction with the use of myocutaneous (skin/muscle) flaps.
