About
Sun received his medical degree from the University of Toronto in Canada and finished residency training in cardiac surgery at McMaster University, also in Canada. He completed an advanced fellowship in cardiac surgery at the Brigham & Women's Hospital, a Harvard University-affiliated teaching hospital in Boston.
Before joining UCI Health to lead the cardiovascular surgery team, Sun was on the faculty of the Keck School of Medicine at USC and served as the director of cardiothoracic surgery at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Before joining USC, he was on the faculty at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Dr. Jack C.J. Sun is a UCI Health cardiothoracic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive heart surgery, including coronary artery bypass, heart valve repair, and procedures to treat atrial fibrillation and arrhythmia.
