Dr. Winnie Au is an assistant professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) and an assistant attending radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital. She is board certified in diagnostic radiology and has subspecialty training in breast imaging and musculoskeletal radiology. Dr. Au is experienced in all aspects of breast imaging and breast cancer diagnosis, including mammography, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and breast biopsies. Dr. Au received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Yale University and her Medical Doctor degree (Alpha Omega Alpha) from Yale School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in diagnostic radiology at CUIMC, serving as chief resident during her final year. She stayed at Columbia for an additional year to pursue a fellowship in breast imaging and musculoskeletal radiology, before beginning her career at Montefiore Medical Center as a dedicated breast imager for more than 11 years. Prior to returning to CUIMC as faculty, Dr. Au was on staff at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey. Dr. Au is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and an active member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, and the Society of Breast Imaging.
