After completing her training, Dr Evans worked with the Department of Plastic Surgery at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C. She then joined the Department of Plastic Surgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and became an associate professor of plastic surgery with the Center for Wound Healing. She is actively involved in training Georgetown University residents and medical students, and lectures nationally and internationally on reconstructive plastic surgery and microsurgery.
