After pursuing medical school training at Grant Medical College, amongst the premier medical institutes in India, Dr Sharma arrived as a visiting student at Harvard Medical School. He finished his medical residency from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and post doctoral and cardiovascular imaging fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University followed by general cardiology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston. His passion for advanced cardiovascular therapies led to further fellowship training at Harvard Medical School in Interventional Cardiology with focus towards structural heart diseases, valvular heart disorders and transcatheter treatments and complex coronary interventions.
