Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I wanted to choose a career which would allow me to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those around me. I found medicine, and cardiology in particular, to be that field. Given my unique life experiences growing up as an immigrant in this country, I know how difficult and daunting it can be to navigate our healthcare system and I want to help my patients navigate this system with clarity. I want to be their voice and advocate. What I want my patients to know about me: Before medical school, I worked as a pharmacy manager and a medical scribe for several years, which gave me a unique perspective on other aspects of medicine which doctors do not always get to see.
