Dr. Caskey is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Her area of clinical expertise is General Infectious Diseases.Dr. Caskey received her M.D. degree from the Federal University of Sergipe in Brazil. She moved to the U.S. to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at the St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, and then obtained fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at Weill Cornell Medical College. Following Infectious Diseases specialty training at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, she joined the Clinical Scholars Program at the Rockefeller University in 2006 where she obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Investigation in 2009. Her work at Rockefeller focuses on the development and evaluation of novel HIV therapeutic and preventive modalities. Dr. Caskey has led several clinical trials of HIV vaccines and vaccine adjuvants, as well as passive transfer of anti-HIV broadly neutralizing antibodies. In parallel to her research at Rockefeller, she continues to provide care at Weill Cornell-Presbyterian as an infectious diseases consultant in the in- and outpatient settings. She performs general infectious diseases consultative services in the in- and outpatient settings.
